SOME MORE BBSS HISTORY - OUR BOYS IN BRAZIL - NOVEMBER 2005
In November 2005, three of our students, Ade Castanada,Lyndon Jones-Morris, and Fidel Coker (Left to right in photo) supported by their Form 6 classmates and guided by the BBSS Business Department, won the National Finals of the Citibank/Junior Achievement "Banks in Action" competition. They then flew to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Latin American leg of the tournament. Accompanied by their Business teacher, Mr. Cuthbert Joseph, they embarked in a memorable visit to one of the world's largest cities.
The BBSS/T&T team was warmly received, and quickly became favourites after the first round of competition, where they placed first in their group, progressing to the finals. Cheered on by their South American counterparts to a commendable seventh place overall in this prestigious international competition, our boys represented their school and country with great pride, making many new friends, and leaving a great impression on their hosts and other delegates.
Well done to our team!
We defend our National "Banks in Action" title this month, and we look forward to great things again....
