Work In Progress

Even on Saturdays, improvement work continues at BBSS. Here we see the repaving of the car park and basketball court this Saturday past, with special thanks to Mr. Don Hinds, a BBSS parent for facilitating the project.
Also, after months of enduring sweltering heat, some relief for Form 4 as new fans are installed.

Fire Drill at BBSS 18 10 07

Much to the excitement of students, the Belmont Fire Station officers arrived with blaring sirens at 8:00 a.m. today, to conduct a demonstration drill at school, simulating a fire rescue from the Form 5 block. The officers were applauded for their brisk determination in safely rescuing their "dummy" from the mock flames, and even rewarded our boys with a water show after.

Proceeding to the Form One classrooms, the fire officers then engaged our students in a discussion about Fire Safety, and the Fire Service in general. Special thanks to Sub Officer Parks for facilitating the exercise at our school today.

BBSS History - Scholarships

Today, we begin a series of posts dedicated to the past events, memories and personalities that lit up the history of our school. We welcome contributions of past students, either in writing or in pictures... share your experiences with your then classmates and the current generation of viewers to the website by e-mailing the school by clicking here.

The above extract was contributed by Professor Richard J.M. Blackett of Vanderbilt University of Tennessee, U.S.A., a proud BBSS graduate some 5 decades past...thanks Prof!
